SCOTT HENRIKSEN

AIA, ACHA, NCARB, Principal/Director

After leaving the University of Utah Health Sciences F&E Design department in 1991, Scott joined GSBS and becoming a principal of the firm in 1998. His experience in healthcare and health-education settings includes classrooms, simulation and skills labs, physician clinics, regional medical centers, rehab facilities, rural hospitals and long-term care facilities.  Recently, he has played key roles in programming, verification and the design for the Pocatello VA Clinic and BYU’s state-of-the-art Mary Jane Rawlison Geertsen Nursing Learning Center. 

Zachary Stewart

Interior Designer

Zach brings the talent he has fostered with years of interior design experience to each project he works on.  In addition to his creative interior design skills, he has a background in Arts & Film Studies which helps solidify his belief in story through design. Over the years he has enjoyed working on numerous medical clinic and lab projects for professional and educational settings.  Zach’s eye for detail and level head make him a strong addition to any project team.

STEPHEN HOWARD

AIA, EDAC, LEED AP
Principal, Architect, Research, Project Manager

Stephen has 18 years of experience with healthcare and health education projects; including classrooms, simulation and skills labs, physician clinics, rural hospitals and skilled nursing facilities. He has a background in both architecture and interior design which provides a unique perspective and ability to understand a project’s needs and expectations. As a certified evidence-based design architect (EDAC), he strongly advocates for the research and application of these proven design principles to create more healthy, efficient and enjoyable spaces. He takes pride in forming strong client relationships and patiently works through the many challenges to make the planning, design, and construction process a positive experience for all those involved.

 
 
 

GARTH SHAW

Director of Sustainability

Garth is the Director of Sustainability at GSBS Consulting. With a wide array of resources and extensive experience in energy and water efficiency, indoor environmental quality and sustainable site designs, Garth bridges the gap between design ideals and actual sustainable performance. Garth aligns client visions with specific sustainable design strategies assuring the highest level of sustainable performance appropriate for a project.
